Privacy policy

1. Who we are

The data controller is Villano Genoveffa Nikola, Genny Villano Language Centre, Svoronou 10, 58100 Giannitsa, Greece, VAT no. EL049827548.

2. What data we collect and why

Contact form. Name, email, phone, the course you are interested in and your message. We use them only to reply to you. Legal basis: your request before a contract.

Private lesson booking. Name, email, phone, preferred language and notes about the lesson. We need them to book the lesson, send you the video call link and issue a receipt. Legal basis: performance of a contract and our tax obligations.

Payment. Payment takes place on Stripe's page. Your card details never pass through us. From Stripe we receive only the confirmation, the amount and your email.

Newsletter. If you join our mailing list, we keep your email to send you news. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in every email.

Students under 15. For children, the details are provided and the booking is made by a parent or guardian.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell data or share it for advertising. Data passes only through the providers the site needs to work:

• Hostinger (website hosting and newsletter via Hostinger Reach)
• Stripe (payments)
• Google (Google Calendar and Google Meet for online lessons)
• Accountant, only the details shown on receipts and invoices

Some of them process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

4. How long we keep it

• Contact form messages: 12 months after our last contact.
• Bookings and payments: as long as tax law requires, usually 5 to 10 years.
• Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.

5. Cookies

The site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It has no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar tools.

It uses only necessary cookies:

• WordPress login cookies, only if you sign in to your account
• Stripe cookies, only on Stripe's payment page

These do not need consent, because without them signing in or paying is not possible. The school map opens in Google Maps only if you click the link.

If we add analytics tools in the future, we will ask you first.

6. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. You can also restrict or object to its processing, or get a copy of it. Write to us at genepanvill@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days.

If you believe we are not following the law, you can file a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
